I have been looking around at the various build your own bender plans and had a couple of questions. I have looked at the Pro Tools and have a set of their plans, which seems fairly simple to build. The Got Trikes plans are very popular and seem to be everywhere. My question is which would be the better of the two benders. I has given some 5"x1/2" flat bar which will need to be trimmed down, but that will save me a fair amount of money.http://www.pro-tools.com/200k-1.htm

Reply:I built a got trikes one. works good, only I use 3/4 for the bending arm. They reccomend 5/8". I dont know if I would use 1/2. It would probly be ok, depends what your bending thoughHTP Invertig 201Lincoln Idealarc SP250Miller 180 AC StickBy farmall:They should have held the seagull closer to the work, squeezing evenly for best deposition.
Reply:I'm going to use it for light stuff 1-1/2" mostly to build some roll cages. I might try some decorative bed frames. Nothing heavy.
