recently purchased machine from friend who bought new 300D machine runs very smoothly but will run for approx 5 or 6 minutes and shuts down. I think it may have something to do with the auto shut off on the oil pressure swith. Any ideas?
Reply:Does it shut off fast like the ignition (spark) was shut off? or does it die slow and loping like it is starving for fuel?-Ryan McEachern
Reply:it shuts off fast
Reply:Guess nobody knows but i got it running anyway just put different kind of pressure gauge on and it runs and welds like a champ
Reply:I am confused. In general, the oil pressure switch on side of F163 is used just to prevent drain from battery from alternator and to provide path to light on front panel indicating presence of oil pressure. Should not have any effect on engine running unless someone changed wiring. weldersales
Reply:Murphy switch? He did say pressure guage.
Reply:Ironically ha i got the machine back running and put it back on my brand new truck and with only 1000 miles on the truck the alternator on the truck goes out ha bad week huh. Definately not a good way to start the year!!!
