Welding shop in my area has an old lincoln idealarc 250 ac dc welder tombstone shape he is willing to part with. Has about 30 to 40 foot leads with clamp and stinger. He is asking around 300. Is this a decent price? Everything works I am testing the unit now on loan. IT would be an upgrade from a Marquette 180 amp just ac machine I have now. My gut feeling is go with it, it welds pretty smooth.
Reply:Hes basically giving you the welder for the cost of leads. I would buy it if I was you.
Reply:less than 500 is good for on of those. Go for it.
Reply:That is a Dang good machine. If you don't want it, I'll definitely take it!I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
Reply:Thanks for the input guys, it was all I needed to go for it. My doubt came from the fact I called Lincoln directly and gave them the serial number and they told me the machine was from 1971. But if it is a good machine who cares.BTW great forum, im a newbie |
