Hey guys, my welder has no open circuit voltage. I opened up the cover, did not see any fuses. Cleaned it all out with air, used some 1000 grit sandpaper to clean the part that rotates on the engine. Brushes move, dont know what else to do? I really need to be pointed in the right direction on this because the instructions do not have any info on repairing this machine and I'm getting ready to sell it for copper scrap.
Reply:What is the code# of your machine? If you cleaned the slip rings on the armature then you need to start checking for bad connections. Weldenpower G8000????
Reply:What machine is it?I have a 225G7.Before you scrap it where you at? If I am close, hell I'll buy it for parts at least.P.M meIf it's too . get an office jobLincoln wp225g7 Lincoln 250 idealarcFrankenstein O/A set-up Weld-tech tig set-upLincoln sp 175 plus profax arc gouger
Reply:its a im 308. Guy I got if off of said he was welding with it a few months ago, so I was just assuming it was dirty. went through the connections quickly they seemed alright.
Reply:And there was no power at the electric plugs either. If that helps to narrow it down at all
Reply:I got a manual off of the lincoln website for my machine and it had a troubleshooting guide in it.When you go there you will need your code # off of the machine. You can try that.I looked in mine with the issues you were saying and it is saying faulty pc board and to check some readings from differant wires so getting one for your machine would be the best option and get back with us if you still can't figure it out.If it's too . get an office jobLincoln wp225g7 Lincoln 250 idealarcFrankenstein O/A set-up Weld-tech tig set-upLincoln sp 175 plus profax arc gouger |
