I did a job for a drag racing family that is going to Fontana this weekend to race ...the new sound wall is finished so the drags are backAnyway he has a double deck trailer and a real steep driveway it broke the tail wheels off so he had me weld on new heavier duty ones ... but the mounting parent metal is all rusted badly..I cannot believe that the cross member that they were welded to is only 16 Ga steel. And is now  32 ga rustHe has a 350 syncro that looks like new that is not even hooked up to power and has no idea how to use it He bought for 350.00 it has everything you need but argon bottle and boxes of consumables and stuffHe also bought a 4x8x1 fab table with the hold down tooling for 100.00And a bunch of other fab stuff and grinder He Suks lucky buggerAnd yes he knows what the stuff is worthThe guy who used to do his welding died and the tweeker daughter had an garage sale for quick money He will be thinking about what to do about the trailer after the weekend it needs extensive repair ..might be cheaper to get a new oneHe might have me come back to hook it all up and show him how to run it Its set up for tig only right nowSent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk 2Backed my CATMA over your CARMA oops clusmy me  What would SATAN do ?? Reply:The pics I took which were not many as I started late and really wanted to pass on this but I put on the new rollers in place of the old ones The mount on the left one is torn out of the frame and rusted badly so I moved it over to a place with more steel and less rustsorry no after pics as it was 11:00 PM when I left and was midnight when I got home so I could get up at 4:00 AM and go to workBacked my CATMA over your CARMA oops clusmy me  What would SATAN do ?? Reply:Well here is a little project i have had on the back burner for a bit and now that i have a vise a forge  and anvil (If you can call it that)and the PM 45 i am starting work on it ...I have not done any since i was in high school so i am trying to remember it all..And failing The coal finally got here a week late...Then the blower didn't seem to be working right...Ah remove the pack rats nest in the blower tube and it works much betterand it still was not fast enough or hot enough for me  so i cheatedmost of the parts made just need cutting and fittingBacked my CATMA over your CARMA oops clusmy me  What would SATAN do ?? Reply:Cool !  We used the rosebud to heat the coals for cooking lunch on the job . Shop guy was complaining on how much acetylene we were using . Boy those shoes look new !  You gotta be rich !   I did buy some new about $2.00 to $3.00 each depending on size.

The only advantage is the variety of sizes I get from a farrier occasionally . They old are ok for outside ''welcome'' signs or plant holders but definitely new for inside creations like wine rack or napkin holders.
