Distributor stuck on SA 200!

I bought an 80's model sa 200 about a year ago and it ain't purdy but welds sweet like candy.  It come from the coastal area and apparently noone has adjusted the distributor in sometime because I cannot get it to move. I have been soaking it for about a year in penetrating lube hoping it will break it down over time some. I haven't tried it lately but plan to do some work to it soon and the distributor must come out. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem before and might save me some heartache. I don't wanna go A-Team on it if I don't have to! Thanks
Reply:I've had them stuck before, a bit of penetrating oil and a tap the base with a flat blade screw driver and hammer. Though if it welds fine, why move the distributor in the first place
Reply:Well, it has a hiccup while running that just eats at me.. Think it is set too premature on timing cus at high idle it hardly hiccups at all. After I get another money maker, this one is getting a makeover. She must be in bed with the middle east cus she drops plenty of oil. While I am doing all the other work, it would be easy to give it another go.... Where exactly do you put the screwdriver tip? If I remember correctly there is a notch in the dist. at the intake, is that right?
Reply:It uses a braided rope rear main seal, mearly drop the oil pan and with a 5/16:" 12 point socket remove the 2 bolts holding the rear main seal cap, drop it out. The top seal cap rotates out, you'll have to punch it to rotate it out.Roll the new seal sorta flat and put it into the top cap and cut the ends flush.Insert it carefully into the housing and tap it back into place. If your not replacing the pan gasket (you have to take the front seal off) use RTV to seal the panInstall the bottom one and use a little RTV on the ends,
