Hi I'm new to these forums and I just have a few questions.Well I've been interested in PAW for a few years now, ever since I saw the thermal arc ultima.I have been looking everywhere for info on them ever since I saw that machine on youtube about 3 years ago, to my understanding this process of welding is not to common and there are very few machines that are made for this. The ones I know of are the Thermal arc ultima, Pro-fusion Dual arc 82 hfp, and a few other machines from Iran, china and such.I am currently waiting on a quot from Pro-Fusion on the plasma console to convert my tig unit, but haven't heard back from them in a few days. Also ever time I do a search the multi-plaz units come up, which I know aren't really the same as a PAW unit, but I was wondering how they compare to them? if they are worth looking into? as I keep seeing lots of mixed reviews on them, mostly of the reviews I've found are from people that have only spent a few minutes with one.So I would like to hear from somebody that owns one.But any way, I would like to hear some first hand experience from people that have done PAW.Like welding aluminum with it? can you use DC polarity to weld aluminum like with Tig? How does it compare to TIG?Things that are different that you had to learn versus tig welding? Just any thing and every thing! I want to hear what you have to say |
