Reply:Thanks dsw sorry for the impatience. Not looking to do any specific type of welding. I would like to do it all eventually. I chose the stainless because it easy to prep. As far as heat I will try cranking it up and going faster. I also need bigger filler 3/32 felt too small after the #2 pass. No I didn't shield the back of the root.
