Reply:as the bid says these units are in bad shape, unrepairable from the govt, I would buy as parts and then see whats wrong. but at that price the scrap is worth more..
Reply:that looks to be in very good condition to me.  many of those units are used by civilian contractors on base and if that contract is no longer held or done away with the equipment sits idle for years and then sold per govt regs.  i would be willing to bet someone who know these machines can get a good machine cheap.  i have bought a few things here and have not been disappointed yet.  at least as long as too many others did not bid the item to high.timJust some stuff in my shop.

Reply:I have found that many times the condition is arbitrarily assigned by person in the sales office. Most often that sales person has little to no experience about the operation of the item being sold. It is always best to go look at the item before you bid on it. I have bought alot of CNC equipment, welding equipment, ATVs, furniture, etc.  My last item bought was a Bridgeport Milling Machine which they claimed was salvage! I drove down looked at it and found out the machine was brand new but had been sitting in the crated box for some years.
