Hello everyone.Don`t really know if it`s the right forum but I saw "Cutting methods" ...So , I know the control panel is very old but I could really need some help. I started a few weeks ago to program on this lantek software and somehow I got myself "programming" the plasma machine as well [even though I didn`t want to ]A short short explanation: my boss used to program the plasma`s Esab NCE 280 control and he also did the programming but he used some MS-DOS program from 1989 or so ...because he doesn`t know anything abotu WIndows and all and the new software is in WIndows he told me to learn the new software... I did but never touched the ESAB control panel until a few weeks ago when I was "forced" by circumstances. Everything went OK untill a few days ago when 'probably" I pressed a wrong button and the plasma machine lost its "point zero" ...and I read the ESAB manual but sincerely? I couldn`t fix it...The machine goes 3 cm away from point zero on Y axis.. the X axis is still OK but the y one no... and I don`t know how to set up the "point zero" ...:| Does anyone have any helping suggestions please?? Even if it`s not NCE280 ...maybe the set up process is simmilar and I could try... Thank you in advance and sorry for my ..not so good english! All the best.
Reply:Where are you located at? Someone local may be able to help you out better than just advice on the internet. I know myself I'm much better at solving problems in person than just helpdesk. Also try either cnczone or practicalmachinist.com, lots of good info there as well. Sorry I've got nothing specific to advise you on your equipment just trying to help you find someone who can.
Reply:Or call ESAB cutting machine group. 1-800-esab123. follow the prompts. Get your machine serial and model numbers. You will need them to get to the right group for tech support. You will have to leave a message with the operator and a tech will call back later. |
