making 1 from 2

we're pulling our hair out with a problem and in researching it there seems to be a great knowledge of the macines in question here. we have 2 faulty Lincoln Onan engine machines and we are trying to make 1 out of 2. all i need is the welding and power circuts for the units but have had no luck. the 2 machines are:a) Linkwelder 225, DC ARC Welder with DC power. code 262. b) WeldanPower 225DC Model DC-225/3-AS. we want to base the working model on the WeldanPower as it the newer of the 2 Onan engines. So far the only result i have is that the engine wants to run backwards and wont start. We have asked a few good electricians to look at it but without a welding and power curcuts for the units they are not having any luck.We have tried to contact Lincoln New Zealand and Australia but with no luck. Could you please give us some direction?Do you have a copy of the diagram we are looking for?any help would be appricated. Thanks very much

Reply:Hi Duaneb55, thanks for the responce. we tried swapping the polarity of the bushes but the current came up to 700 amps. it was smoking up pretty bad. i thought that it should opperate around 200 or so. i'm going to have a closer look at the machines and the diagrams you attached. appricate the your time and your reply. thanks very much
