Reply:What kind of metal would you use on a project like that? I would guess it would have to be some kind of high grade marine aluminum?

Reply:That's going to be a lot of work. More pics? Good luck!PlasmaCam CNC cutterLathe and Band SawClamps
Reply:It shouldn't be to bad got most the frames together and on the jig today should be about a week till I got all the plates pulled and ready for welding sorry can post anymore pics till I got all the plates pulled
Reply:Just wondering, have you ever build a "jet dingy"?I saw some in B.C. and loved them. The little 10 or 11 foot alu. boat puts a jetski motor in them.Sorry its off topic... Haha!

Reply:Can't post anymore pics on a open forum till the hull plates are tacked on sorry but I will post as soon as they are on
Reply:Got the hull plates welded together and mostly pulled down on the jig there 9m long hull plates hence haveing to weld them together and are 5/16 5086 :li left my helmet on the jig so you can see the scale of boat she's a beast compared to what I normally build Attached Images
Reply:Nice! This would be fun to do all day haha. Can't wait to see it done!
Reply:Looks like it is a pretty fast hull design, able to handle a pretty good chop. I don't know if it would do me any good to have a very fast fishing boat. I might be more tempted to just stay out cruising around, rather than slowing down or stopping to fish. How much fuel capacity is it going to have? Will you be building the tanks also, or buy the ones to go in it? Those two big outboards are going to soak up some fuel in a hurry.
Reply:Yes yes it is I all I do at work is play with Alu boats lol get kinda boreing after a 100 or so boats but this ones the biggest I've built and am lovin it so far. This boats getting twin tanks total is 350g and yes I will be building them aswell
Reply:A pair of these outboards mounted on it would really take the cake.http://www.boattest.com/engine-revie...00068_557_2013
Reply:Those would be killer to mount on this hull

Reply:Pm sent about the jet dingy
Reply:Had to make the bow thruster tube for this boat needed 182.5mm Alu pipe they wanted a arm and a leg for it so I made it lol. Here's the two halts after I spent an hr bumping them up on the press Attached Images
Reply:The two halfs tacked together Attached Images
Reply:Prebeveled the inside for welding turned out okay for what it is Attached Images
Reply:The outside weld worked out nice Attached Images
Reply:Not to bad havnt made a pc of pipe since trades school 12yrs ago lol Attached Images
Reply:Wow, twin 300HP outboards, 32' long and it needs a bow thruster? How much maneuverability do they need? What's the thrust output of the thruster? The only bow thruster I had any dealings with was only 800 HP. But I can appreciate what they can contribute to the handling of a vessel at slower speeds.
Reply:Just don't forget to paint the trailer to match my truck before you deliver it to me lol looks great buddy can't wait to see the finished productLet's just say this is a no holds bar full on build if it can be dreamed of it's going into this boat kinda of thing money isn't the factor on this build lol. Haha yea man I wish she's to big for road pulling 10ft 6inch beam
Reply:Got a lot more work done on this boat Attached Images
Reply:Side view she's the biggest boat I've built so far I've worked on bigger but this is the biggest I e built from scratch Attached Images
