hello everyone.I have a Lincoln WeldPak-HD basically is the same as the other post about the weldpak 175 in this forum but i with a slight difference. My welder motor stopped turning, still clicks when you press the trigger and the internal fan still comes on when power is turned on. After a checking the trigger, the wire, and all the obivous problems outside the unit, i took the cover off and did a visual inspection, and confirmed the wire feed motor wasnt turning when the trigger was pressed. After taking the system board out i noticed a chip on the back of the board had a chunk missing out the top of it.. well i ordered a new board and i just got finished installing it. Also, before installing the new board i checked the motor itself with a very low voltage to confirm it wasnt damaged before i put the board in. Plugged it in tried it out. the motor still isnt working!!!, everything is hooked up correct and tight. and the unit's fan works the same and still clicks when you hit the trigger but no motor turning anyone tell me what the next step is? im really wondering what was the cause of that board blowing is something more serious.Info on this unit is: Lincoln WeldPak-HD the code is #10949
Reply:Well first check the motor with the likes of a 12 Vdc battery and see if it turns or not. What is the serial# of the unit? Also take a paper clip and jump the trigger wires at the machine.
Reply:The other day it happen to me I pulled the wire out and some how it broke and got bound up so I cut the wire and feed it back through and it started working again. I hope that’s all it is. You said you checked the wire but just try feeding it back through and see if there is a blockage. Good luck.I carry guns because cops are too heavy. .. ..-. -.-- --- ..- - .... .. -. -.- .... .- .-. -.. . -. --- ..- --. .... -.-- --- ..- -.-. .- -. ..-. .. --. ..- .-. . .- -. -.-- - .... .. -. --. --- ..- -
Reply:One more thing makes sure your not crimping the wire in the feeder roller or you haven't over tightened the screw that holds the roller in place. Look at the roller to see if you are using the right side for the size wire. You can flip the roller around for different sizes.I carry guns because cops are too heavy. .. ..-. -.-- --- ..- - .... .. -. -.- .... .- .-. -.. . -. --- ..- --. .... -.-- --- ..- -.-. .- -. ..-. .. --. ..- .-. . .- -. -.-- - .... .. -. --. --- ..- - |
