switching back and forth between mig and flux core

I recently picked up an inexpensive Mig welder. I also have a 20 yr old Lincoln 100 weld pak with the Mig conversion. Would I need to remove the Mig conversion from the Lincoln in order to use it just for flux core or can I just change the polarity, wire and cable and use it without a tank?
Reply:Just change the polarity and install the roll of flux core wire, and have at it.Or leave it as is and put the flux core wire in the new MIG instead, and connect the cables for the correct polarity.
