What should I pay for an SA200?

There is a guy down the road that is in the sales business.  He picks up junk at auctions are resells it.  He bought a SA200 from the city about a year ago.  He is asking $350  for it.  It has of course the redseal with magneto.  I don't have numbers, but it has a power outlet that looks kinda like a twist lock.  But somehow in moving it around and getting the carb rebuilt,  he broke the throttle rod that goes between the vacuum solenoid to the carb, to the governer.  Actually, now I think about it,  it is the brass shaft that goes into the carburetor and controls the butterfly that is broken. Reply:It's a steal.Parts machines go for 1K.Running, welding machines go for a minimum of 2k to people who need one.Stumphs (sp?) has hundreds of parts machines.New carbs are available. Try Hybriweld for a good price.JTMcC.

Reply:For the rest of the story...Went out today and bought the SA200.    I paid for it at closing time and will have to fish it out of their shop in the a.m.  It is behind a horse drawn buggy and a few tractors.  $350 +24.00 tax.   I couldn't get the model numbers off the face plate because the light was poor.  It did say shield arc and the plate was black.  Magneto powered.  But it has been repainted red and the panels are no where in sight.Stay tuned for pics updates tomorrow...
