Anyone know anything about these torches????It's a mini torch that kind of looks like a Meco.I'm looking for parts for it.Packing for the knobs, and there might be some kind of valve in the mixing chamber.
Reply:I am pretty sure that is a brand that was bought up by ESAB. You might try contacting their customer service.Miller Multimatic 255
Reply:Thank youI'll email them.
Reply:I sent then a email.Just have to wait and see how good their customer service is. The packing for the knobs look to be asbestos with metal washers top and bottom. Not rubber or leather.Does this sound correct????
Reply:Sound like you have a Prest-O-Weld W-200 welding handle.  If you have the cutting attachment it will be a CW-200.  Prest-O-Weld is an ESAB brand.  I have attached the part breakdown for the W-200 and CW-200 for your convenience.  If this is not what you have, post a picture.  I can identify your equipment that way.Note: Our address and contact info on the parts breakdown is old.  Please visit our site in you need to contact me.Hope this helps! Reply:I have a Purox Prest-O-Weld medium duty set I bought new in 1981. It has a 9 80 date stamped on it. I bought one of the last rosebuds available several years ago and it was a 250 series. I think later Prest-O-Weld outfits went to the smaller 200 series size. Linde division of Union Carbide had Prestolite cylinders and air/acetylene torches and Purox was part of Union Carbide as well so I think because it was oxy/acet. is where the Prest-O-Weld name came from. I prefer the older Purox torches but Esab has pretty much discontinued them after acquiring Victor. Victor is a good torch but were never my favorite. I like the shorter curved up and flip over cutting lever on a Purox torch. I find it more comfortable and if you're heating something you can flip the lever over so there's no chance of hitting and cutting the piece.
Reply:Some pictures of the torch.
Reply:Wow!    This unit was probably made in 40's or 50's.  Unfortunately, all of the parts for this unit have been obsolete for many years.  I  looked in all of my old parts books to see if I could at least find a part number of the valves for you but I  can not find a parts breakdown for this unit.  Wish I had better news!OAdoctorwww.regulatortorchrepair.com
