Alright so since I was fortunate enough to win an ebay auction I now have an L-tec Heliarc 307i and my homebrew tig setup is going to a new home to help pay for the new machine. So:Lincoln AC-225, upgraded cooling fans, capacitor/resistor bank to keep excess corona out of the windings, chinese foot pedal, internal electronics to change phase-angle of incoming 220 VAC single phase electricity. This is the same mod several people have done on the hobart boards. Probably have over 30-40 hours of tig time on it without incident.I don't have a picture but it looks the same as every other lincoln tombstone except that there are 2 hooks on the front for torch and ground clamp, and theres a wire coming out the back connected to the foot pedal.I also built an arc stabilizer to start tigging without scratching the aluminum. This is all I used for a couple years to weld canoes at my work. The arc stabilizer is a separate brown metal box with a knob on it to control intensity. I'll also throw in a cheap blue cart that I bought to roll everything around on, since I previously also had a chiller setup on this (but keeping it for the new tig machine)I'll include a WP-17 air cooled tig torch and ground clamp. You'll need to supply your own argon regulator and bottle.Located in Boone, IA but I make frequent drives to the minneapolis-st. paul area if it would save anybody a drive. I'd rather not ship.$250 OBO. PM me if you are interested.
