Hi, went to sort out some problems with an SP250-I. The first problem was wire speed but that was only because he had 1.2mm selected when he was using 0.9mm no problem, changed settings to the correct wire type. the other problem is when you click the trigger the wire feeds slow for ~1/2sec then jumps to full speed. Timers are off. Not familar with this welder, is this normal or does it have a problem. Wire feed is all good, smooth and free, correct wire drive spool fitted. Any ideas?PeterNMilduraAustralia

Reply:Its run in speed. Once it senses an arc, it takes off to set speed.Totally normal.David Real world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:Would be ramp up time, or soft start, as it is known as, may be able to switch it off via PCBCheers
