Hi, Do any of you know what is being used to create this color? I'm guessing they are grinding the 'picture' they want and then doing some sort of clear / color coat?Thoughts?Link:https://www.etsy.com/listing/1941707...w_type=gallery
Reply:The blue looks like Machinist's dye.If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them.
Reply:Go to the sculptnuveau.com site, or any automotive paint shop. You are looking for dyes to add to clear coat. If you use the stuff from sculpt nouveau, just call up Debbie and ask her what you need. Their clear dries much faster than automotive clear. I have had it outside for years with no problems. Purple dies fade, as do some other colors in sunlight, some stay just find. The plate it is done on looks like aluminum. Easy to use a sander and texture.
Reply:After you do one you will not be impressed by them ever again, easy/cheesy. |
