Governor and idler on sa200

Here is my understanding of how the governor and idler work.please correct me if i am out in left field.the governor and idler are set at low idle ,when an arc is struck the governor pulls the throttle and revs the engine up,when the arc is broken and the timer is lapsed the idler pulls  the throttle back to low idle?does this sound like the true scenario?              felonLast edited by Felonyass Monk; 05-14-2009 at 08:59 PM.Caution lurker lives here" hmmm That is serious,pass the ganja and pick up a  24 of MGD"

Reply:Thanks denrep,Good explanation that even I can understand and I am half asleep right now.  Just got home from welding class and am still too revved up to sleep but too sleepy to be of much good. Reply:Thanks Denrep etal        I installed the new throttle shaft in carb today,  pinned back the idler,set the stop at low idle and locked it up.centered up the throttle ,checked for equal angles on idle and on full out and tightened her up.Then fired her up.played with the carb settings till she was purring and grabbed the cables and rod and What do you know,she idled up like a pro when i started an arc,welded away and about 10 seconds after breaking the arc down she went to idle again.Pardon the expression but its miller time                       FelonLife can be good sometimes ehCaution lurker lives here" hmmm That is serious,pass the ganja and pick up a  24 of MGD"
