New TIG cart build

I recently purchased a new TIG welder and a Coolmate 3 and of course needed a place to put them. Instead of modifying a HF cart I thought I could use the practice building one from scratch.Here are a few pics from about midway through the build. Reply:The local powder coating shop did a great job making my cart look a little less home made. I added a solid state relay inside of the 110 volt outlet box that is switch by the output on the welder. It turns on the cooler so I don't forget

Reply:Thanks. I have been powder coating my projects for years. It is so much more durable than regular paint. The drawback is that if you want to change something you will have to blast it all off and have it redone. At least with paint you can reshoot an area.

Reply:I don't think you can re-bake over the top of previously done powder coating.

Reply:That cart looks like mine a little.  There is a 220V 30A feed to the cart that powers all three units.  I also break the both sides of the phase to separate 110V outlets on the cart.  There is an line for air for the plasma cuter and an extra hose so I can use air tools.  There is one ground for all three units with a quick connect for each unit.Top left 25ft air out line for air tools.  Top right is super flex TIG torch.  Bottom left is 25ft air in line for plasma cutter and air out line.  Bottom right Plasma cuter torch.From top to bottom, 210A TIG, 60A plasma, 180A MIGTop left is the super flex ground cable.  Top right is 25ft 110V power.  Bottom left is the flex head MIG gun.  Bottom right 220V 30A power in for the cartI also power coated everything.  Including the outlets.  We must think alike.This the drawing I sent to get the metal bent.Last edited by Judgeless; 09-02-2014 at 04:37 PM.
