weld pak hd

Having trouble with my lincoln weld pak hd.  Have had this machine 2 years, with no problems until last month.  My problem was that wire feed motor shorted out, quit.  Ordered new one from Lincoln, intsalled it, but now has no adjustment for speed on wire feed.  Wire speed is very fast, so I installed wire feed switch(rheostat 1-10 speed).  Fired it up this morn, still spooling wire thru it very fast.  Adjusting rheostat from 1-10 has no effect on wire speed.  Do I have to buy pc board, or some hidden switch I'm not aware of?  Thanks for any info.
Reply:Hello i have a   "weld pak HD"    and it stop working ,  i cheked  the  motor and fan they are working fine but when i pull the triger nothing happens any idea . there is nothing burned in the pc board sooo i have no idea ...
