My wife is interviewing for a job in the Denver area. Ive always known who the key players are in Savannah Ga area, I want to weed out the crap shops and get a short list of the good outfits so im not wasting time what do yall recomend.
Reply:You have Facebook? If I had it, Id network on there. Another good site is Roadtechs.com. Try the old fashion way- when you get there pound the pavement. Look up shops just to talk to people. Word of mouth is best. IMO this is the golden age of travel and relocation. Good luck.Last edited by lincweld; 11-30-2015 at 03:27 PM.
Reply:You might consider asking around at the local welding supply houses. They certainly know who the larger welding shops are, and maybe whether or not they are good to work for. I would start with General Air. I would go into the main office on Zuni, and ask the oldest guy you see. Or better yet, talk to the sales manager, he would certainly know who their big accounts are.Last edited by raferguson; 11-30-2015 at 05:49 PM.Reason: Add Sales managerSculptures in copper and other metalshttp://www.fergusonsculpture.comSyncrowave 200 Millermatic 211Readywelder spoolgunHypertherm 600 plasma cutterThermal Arc GMS300 Victor OA torchHomemade Blacksmith propane forge
Reply:Sometimes you can get a lead on who's hiring by calling the local test labs and ask them who's testing welders. Or there's always Indeed.com.I don't think Denver is exactly a hotbed of welding activity.Last edited by TimmyTIG; 12-01-2015 at 11:58 AM.
