Off Topic, Media Blaster Issues

My media blaster has pooped out on me, I took most of it apart & cleaned things, re-assembled still no work-ie! It is a Northern unit, in the lower $ range, do you al' think I should take it apart again? I have had very good results till now? Reply:Black beauty, pressure feed. The blasted thing is only a couple of months old? The media doesn't make it out of the tank, slight amount of air at the nozzle, no media what so ever. Reply:Sounds like you had gotten a little moisture in there and the media has clumped and clogged it up, this is common.Just take the whole thing apart and make sure there isn't any clogged up places, and you might want to either sift or replace the media!#1. Reply:Try a smaller grit.  My small sandblaster prefers finer grit than black beauty.David Real world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.

Reply:This is my first one, Northern Industrial, looks like a thirty gallon tank, eats a lot of air up even at 30 psi. I'm already thinking about a new (larger) compressor as we speak. My compressor is almost adequate, 5.6 hp, just ain't enough!! A larger one usually requires mo electricity than the 110 my shop now has.  My location, central VA, is mostly quite humid, above 70 %, this week, low sixties humidity, high temps though, mid to upper nineties.
