Am I missing a part? This is what I received vs what the picture looks like. It looks like I am missin the gray o ring on the collet body. The seller says it's everything and the bag it came in was factory sealed. Any experience with this ck gas saver? Attached Images
Reply:Alright yeah I'd appreciate it. I sent them a message but they said it is complete the way it is.
Reply:Hmm. Yeah I decided to stay with the alumina cup. Going to see if anybody else has an alumina cup setup. The spring just helps the Pyrex cup stay on? The orange I ring fits pretty snug f I try to push the cup over it. I wonder if I can just run it the way it is without any issues.
Reply:Damn, that sucks. I guess I'm glad I didn't get a Pyrex cup. Didn't want to melt it or shatter it. Yeah I sent a few emails with pictures attached. Waiting for a reply. I can do anything for now anyways, waiting for my argon tank. :/
Reply:No you are not missing the part. The old kits had the grey snap ring and CK did away with it sometime ago. They didn't allow the cup or glass to seat correctly and it would "float"So you got the older kit. Newer kits are identical without the clip. They didn't even put a second oring there, so it's just blank. You are fine.BTW I have a pyrex setup and one alumina cup that slides on. I use the aluminum cup to test out my work piece first to make sure nothing sputters up and ruins my glass. Then I will swap for the glass cup if I want it.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
Reply:Alright cool. Just didn't want to use it, not have it work out and have return or issues. Thanks guys. |
