So I forgot to make some roasting sticks to use tonight for the fire pit. Turns out, 1/8" 308 fill rod does perfect No welding, but welding related, kind of. Lol

Reply:I once knew and old master mechanic  And he said the only thing to use to weld steel truck fenders was coat hanger , of course now they are all fiberglass .
Reply:Oh and I for got 3/32 bent into a long U make great sishkabob  , easy to turn and don't spin around . I tried 1/16 " for shrimp but they weren't stiff enough. may not be welding but it does have metal heated or a fire , so maybe black smithing. gxbxc

Reply:I use 1/8 304 stainless shearing and have a local metal shop shear them into 1/2" wide strips. Put a twist on the back side for looks and tiger paw a point on the other end after  cutting to length.    Then 3" Pvc pipe with a cap and a femail adapter and plug. Then Bob's your uncle. You got a skewer holder with it.Miller Bobcat 250Miller Maxstar 140strLongevity 140 migSnapon Muscle Mig/tigHypertherm Powermax 30

Reply:Really like the marinating tube idea.  Brilliant haha. If I can clean the Pvc Good I might.    I use just a stainless home made 3'x18"x8" high box that you fill with fire wood. Let it burn down until it is kindling. Like coals. Then lay the skewers across the top. Above it. Twisting the meat every few minutes while using a spray bottle of water or Apple cider to keep it moist.  Miller Bobcat 250Miller Maxstar 140strLongevity 140 migSnapon Muscle Mig/tigHypertherm Powermax 30
