I am looking for a starter for my 1962 Lincoln SA-200 Redface. I have not been able to find one anywhere. Does anyone know a source, or what starter would be used as a replacement as I am being told this starter is no longer available. It was a Delco Remy...I have checked with Napco also, & they do not know of a replacement starter. thanks.Scott

Reply:Thanks for the response, but unfortunately that is the wrong starter. Mine bolts toward the bottom of the welder. I'll have to get a picture & post it.

Reply:I'd swear that the starter in the post you put up there Duane, looks just like the Delco starter that was on a late 60's Pontiac 400 from a Grand Prix I had in my old 1970 Pontiac Lemans GT!#1. If you don't like what I wrote, or if it offends you, then don't read it!#2. I am living life the way I see fit, if you don't like the way I'M living, tough sh**!

Reply:I have one of the old style delco remy starters that bolts low on the engine, but it doesnt work I got it with a bunch of parts and I tested it and it spun slow then stopped so It shouldn't be something real bad but it needs looking over. Reply:I don't know about other areas, but the starter/alternator rebuild shop here charges about as much as you would pay for one already factory rebuilt. They are good to use for hard to find stuff, but on something common, they are to expensive to use in my opinion!#1.
