Well maybe not that big of a "W", but this one is 18" wide by 14" tall, .080" 3003 aluminum.  I thought it was going to be just a flat letter at first, otherwise I probably would have used some thinner material.  It will have led lighting inside to shine on a piece of copper sheet as part of an outdoor sign for a client's pool.  No cnc to cut out the letter, just printed off the pattern with the cad program, then transferred the pattern to the sheet with a prick punch.  Smoothed it out with the judicious use of a die grinder/carbide burr and a selection of files, then sanded/scotchbrite pad to finish. Reply:"Under the W"  Was a great movie, I remember seeing it many years ago.The airplane stunts were real.  This was before all the computerized cheezy special effects.  Stunt men did this stuff for real.  Townsend (I believe that was his name) later died performing another stunt if I recall.The letter is good work, shows what can be done by hand."Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
