yesterday while practicing a few times the stick caught fire. is this because the current is too high? thanks

Reply:6010/6011 will burn if you run them too hot. no big deal as long as the coating stays on.
Reply:Cuz there're effin hot thats why! 6010 is cellulose, and will burn. 7018, I'm sure has stuff in it that will burn as well.

I keep acetone around but would rather use alcohol. Alcohol is easier to get, it cleans wounds and I mix it with cutting fluid to keep sanitary but I dont think it makes me a better weldor. |
