does anyone know of a 'small size'  1/4" collet right angle air grinder that runs under 10,000 rpm @60-90 psi. Most of them nowadays are 15,000 - 20,000 rpm like half dozen of the ones i already have like in the pictures  below....guess i can fork out big$$ for a dotco , but i'd still be at 10,000 rpm....ideal would be 4000 rpm , but  would still be amazingly happy with 4000-8000 rpm. I know i can buy the small  4000 rpm air tools all day , but there small 'straight shafts' 1/4" collet , not the regular small 1/4" collet  'right angles'.  I can say ive spent a few hours useing google and google images and shopping on multiple occasions , frustrated and bet someone here knows or will come across one day. Reply:Nothing out there runs at low rpm as far as I know. You'd get more torque with the lower rpm, but you'd also maybe have a bigger gear housing which would defeat the purpose of the small tool (less clearance). You really can't push the little grinders, they stall under any kind of moderate load.  It's all about speed with these things.  Try to use premium stones and burrs, it'll make up for the loss of torque, more work per point at higher speeds without wearing out."Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/

In the same breath I dont own one and have no idea what the above two cost, but they do exist. I had a kimball midwest that I think was 15,000 and still have a craftsman that is 20k I think, both are not the best tool I have ever owned.
Reply:You might try panamericantool.com.  May have something close to what you want.  I have purchased tools from them in the past, good people to do business with.  Check them out.  Bob
Reply:thanks for the links, cool"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:I have one as small as the motor section of those pictured above ( straight not angle  ). But unlike those its 4000 rpm max and it has some tork twist , when you gun the paddle switch  You can actually lean  on it compared to those. Thanks for those links  mrwingnut    . I sent inquiry to mountain tools , seems like they maybe looking for stores not individuals. Think ther both going to be kinda rich for me but im going to keep an eye out for the St. Louis Pneumatic now for shure and shop at panamericantool a while. You would think for shure Sioux or Dotco would hav one , ehh but they would be way to much i bet....man , i did your search words , and still nothing else, seriously!        thermal arc 252i  -  millermatic 350P -   miller XMT, cp300ts, 30a 22a feeders, buttload of other millers, handfull of lincolns, couple of esabs  -   Hypertherm 1250 G3
