Anyone built one? I want to build one that folds. Anyone done this? Also interested in your winch setup.
Reply:There is one here on the forums somewhere. I remember seeing it a couple of years ago. The guy that made it does not frequent the forums often. You will have to use the search feature to find it. It had a swivel so you could lift up the game and swing it into the truck, or you could just use it to suspend one for skinning. It would be in the welding projects section if you are going to look for it. Here's one, but not the one I was talking about. But it might give you some ides.http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...ght=game+hoistHere is the link to the one I was thinking of.http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...ght=game+hoistBut you still might want to do a search for pick up hoist or something like that to see what else is on here that you may can use for inspiration. Here's another, with a link in it to another design, on a different forum. Learn to use the search function, it can be your friend. I found these three in just a couple of minutes, you could do the same, I'm sure if you try it.http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...ght=game+hoistAnother one for ya.http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...ght=game+hoistThat makes four. Learn to use the search feature. When you start the build, be sure to post it up to add to the collection I already have got you started on.Last edited by Bistineau; 10-04-2014 at 08:08 PM.

Reply:I've posted a couple pictures of mine to the 'welded today' thread, but haven't made its own thread yet. http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...71#post4722271 http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...11#post4744211
Reply:What's your plans with this project? Hunting season is here, and this is something that could prove real useful if you have any degree of success in the woods. Have you started on it, going to wait awhile, still planning, looking for more info/design, decided against doing it, done plum forgot all about it, what?
Reply:Cabelas has a good picture.http://www.cabelas.com/product/ForEv...3087703&rid=20I have been too busy to build it. One thing I will do is make it so it will fold or easily come apart for storage and transport. I really don't think it would take too long to build. I could have my students cut up the metal for me. They are having a good time learning how to use the tape measure. How heavy of tubing do you think it should be?
