What do you guys use on your Continental F162/163 engines for the crankcase ventilation hose....?
Reply:Nothing. If you have excessive blow-by that's resulting in oiling down the unit around the stock vent tube, it's time for an overhaul.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!
Reply:It doesn't (didn't) have any blowby. I am in the restoration process right now. When looking at the P-23 Lincoln parts doc., I noticed that they show the valve chamber cover w/crankcase vent hose as 1 item. My hose will probably be OK after I clean it up and give it a little rehab. I was just looking for one just in case. This project is really coming along and I will post before, during, and after pics. I sure have learned a lot, which was part of the plan. All you guys here have been a world of knowledge. After I get the '67 back to "stock" condition, I plan to score another machine and make a "hot rod" project. My "little praline" already advised me to start looking for a place to live, if I didn't give her her side of the garage back. She doesn't understand.....................
