So I picked up one of the Fibre-Metal 110PWE hoods for cheap to test one out, the fixed shade in it needs replaced. I have never used a hood like this before, and I dont want to damage it anyway by trying to take it out the wrong way. anyone know how?
Reply:The plastic spring just pops out. Feels like it will break and after a couple dozen times it will. Reply:thanks. i figured it out. yeah seems like it would break over time. I'm guessing replacement parts are online? I looked and can't seem to find them. It seems like the outside bracket you have to pop off would break over time. (Showed in second picture) Are there replacement parts somewhere online?Last edited by millerweld; 01-03-2016 at 12:13 AM.

Reply:Try to find an old Jackson hood. They have a steel retaining spring. Little grinding, and youll have a steel retaining spring for the Pipeliner. Work in cold weather, and those plastic ones will break!
