Reply:LolYou can make one but it will shock the **** out of you because it's a conductor!Buy your own cups. 50-70 cents a cup. Reply:What kind of stuff are you welding that you need a bigger cup? With proper stickout/cfh/amperage/speed a #7 will provide good coverage for most stainless jobs. Usually when I see guys asking about larger cups its because they are heating the steel up too much and need it shielded longer.Airco Ac/Dc 300 HeliwelderMillerMatic 200 (stolen)Miller Maxstar 150STLMiller AEAD200LE (welding and generating power) Hobart MIG
Reply:Monster cups from Arc Zone are $34. A full kit with gas lens is $44 on Amazon or Ebay depending on tungsten size you want. I prefer 3/32 for most jobs, but a 1/8 can come in handy too. No problem......zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Originally Posted by WeldingMachineSame here, why the fixation with gigantic cups? The smaller the cup, the tighter the spots you can fit in!Keep that electrode within .010- .30" away from your puddle & gas coverage shouldn't be a problem. And Move!I may use a #6 on really thick Alum but that's very rare.

Reply:Zap what bit do you use to turn a cup? I tried it and ruined a few bits on the lathe instantly.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer

Reply:I've seen where guys use those huge cups for walking the cup on the cover pass for pipe welding. They say the huge cups make it easier. Couldn't prove it by me, I can't walk the cup on the cover pass, I need a deep bevel to lay the cup in.Don’t pay any attention to meI’m just a hobbyist!CarlDynasty 300V350-Pro w/pulseSG Spool gun1937 IdealArc-300PowerArc 200ST3 SA-200sVantage 400
