Made two of these up for my Brother and a buddy.  Used to "flesh" the back of pelts from trapping animals. TIg welded.  Used 1"x .060 square tubing, 1/8" flat plate and 2.5" x .060 exhaust pipe.  50* angle on the main beam.  Apparently, a piece of PVC pipe is slid over the metal pipe (or inside it).  Diameter based upon the size of the hide.  TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum

Reply:I like this.  I do some skinning and you would think being a welder I would build something to help me in the process.....  Nope.   A good knife and my 2 hands is what I use.  But your design inspires me to make one now.  I'd (for myself) would mount a 2" piece of Angle Iron on top of that pipe, with the 90* holding the pipe.  So the Angle sits 45* up.  Pull the pelt side to side to remove fat but have it soft enough to not rip the pelt.  Even a "Saw Horse" type stand to mount a fleshing board idea would be a good idea.  Comfortable height would be key.  Maybe a stretcher on some sort of hinge to pull it tighter.....  Don't mind me I'm just thinking out loud.  Nice job!Last edited by DieselDon16; 10-26-2014 at 09:48 PM.Some Blue , Some Red & Some GreyProverbs 16:2-3.2 "All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord. 3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."
