I don't post alot of my projects as I'm generally not satisfied with the outcome, plus it takes a lot of time, but this came out OK.14yrs in this "shop" and I never had a stool, and I'll tell you what; if you don't have a stool, get ya one! Reply:I had a hellova time with porosity, even ground out some welds 3 times to no avail. I know its due to my lack of prep, but also what I "thought" was stainless rod, wasn't.Some welds I went over with bronze, but ended up switching to 309 filler. Reply:That rounded threaded rod is used in concrete forms , and they do make some big nuts for it , It is Dayton Superior coil rod and is 1/2" to 1 1/2" dia. up to 12 feet long.
