Hi, new guy here I have a Tweco 141i in mig mode the gas stays on about 5 seconds after you let off the trigger, its done it sense it was new, is there a way to stop this from happening, it burns through a small tank of C25 in a couple of days when I'm just tacking, I'm getting sick of going to the welding supply store for gas and its $45 every time I do. I'm sure its for shielding while it cools but I don't need that when tacking sheet metal, Thanks for any help you may have.
Reply:read your manual. i know the 252i has a setting for post flow
Reply:Thank you, I'll try that.
Reply:Something is wrong with your gas valve.. Either it's sticking or there is a fault causing it to stay on that long.. There is no user setting for post flow on the 141i.. Little bit is normal, maybe a .5 seconds, but anymore then that, there is something wrong.. Probably need to call Tweco, and ask them.
