xmt 304 vs xmt 350 .. could you share your opinion?

hisearch function won't work on my phone so I'm sorry if this particular post has been beaten to deathI'm curious on opinions of the xmt 304 vs 350... all I'm looking for is a quality machine to practice tiging pipe in my shed and build myself utility trailers for atv or if something breaksboth are available to me right now and was curious to what people thought of one to the otherI appreciate your time for reading and ty in advance for your opinion if you post.. much appreciated. . ty
Reply:I like my 304, pushed close to 400 amps out of it air arcing a bucket. Surprized, I've never used a 350 so no answer. 304 togs well, sticks well, and runs this crap out of my voltage sensing wire feeder. Good luck.
Reply:My experience is almost identical. We're you looking for new or used. The 350 would be nice, but personally I wouldn't spend much more to get one .

Reply:ty for your comments...would both of these machines run off 200 amp service in a shed? I thought I seen the 350 was 1 & 3 phase while 304 is 3 phase... I don't know much about thatboth 2nd hand machines, it would be disaster if i bought one and wouldn't run off a 200 amp service ty for posting
Reply:Both are single or 3 phase, altho I believe that there is a high input voltage model, which won't run on 230 volt. One thing to keep in mind is that they don't work well on 200-208 voltage. Also make sure you are getting a CC-CV version, since they did make a CC version in the 304.

Reply:Both are great machines. It has been a while since I used the XMT304-like years! The main difference I remember was it didn't have the advanced features of the XMT350. Like comparing the Dynasty 200 to the Dynasty 200DX. Great machine, just not as many bells and whistles! Hope this helps.
