WTB 94-98 1 ton dodge

Reply:The 12V Cummins is awesome. Pure mechanical engine that just needs a 12V feed. If its got a Bosch P-pump; it's damn near bulletproof. Parts are cheap too. Sorry for the hijack.
Reply:Why not buy a 24v and just ppump it? Its pretty cheap. Then you have the free flowing head of a 24v with a ppump! I've often considered it but if you make the right mods to a vp truck they are pretty reliable. (I've also seen more 1,000,000 mile vp44 cummins then I have ppump cummins fyi)
Reply:VP trucks are a lot more plentifull then a 12 valve. On top of that most are in better shape. I have a 98.5 VP truck with twin turbos 240 horse injectors plus a bunch of other work. All the work was done at 190k still as realiable as any other truck on the road. I daily drive and tow heavy with it every weekend still get 15 mpg and dont have to take it out of OD on the hills. Oh yeah and its still got AC and Cruise!! Dont hate on a VP until you have tried it!

Reply:Yeah don and i both are! no i wanst talking to you just making a general statement that vp trucks arent as bad as everyone says. (this next comment is going to bite me in the butt) My vp has been on 2 diff motors and has 201,000 on it. feed it with an air dog or fass and your set.
