Hey guys, I just started a new job in the past month and they had a old Lincoln Weldanpower 225 sitting around that they wanted me to get going. The battery was shot so I replaced it now it just clicks every now and then when I hit the starting button. I am guessing the solenoid is shot? I found the parts list and part number online http://content.lincolnelectric.com/p...parts/P138.pdf but I can't find where to order it from. I was hoping someone on here could help me out? Thanks!
Reply:Take it apart and clean it, they get rusted from sitting around, may save yourself a couple bucks. Also, check the push button starter switch, mine had similar problems and when I changed the switch all was well. Good luck. If you need the solenoid try a factory authorized lincoln shop, Also On line Bills Welder Repair in Oklahoma. Reply:If it is the solenoid you can get one at the parts house. I have a weldanpower 8000. The solenoid at the welding store was $50 plus shipping. I went to the parts house, they handle lawnmowers, and picked up one for $10. |
