Horseshoe Christmas tree for my neighbor. They are " Equine " people that are bonkers for horses. She gave me some used horseshoes  but just looked terrible. So I bought some new ones . I  saw a smiliar tree online but didn't like the baseFortunately, the weight was within the range of my overhead electric chain fall.  I don't know if she'll decorate it with ornaments but I drilled holes in case. I'll post a photo if she does. ATTACH=CONFIG]914111 Attached ImagesLast edited by BD1; 11-23-2014 at 03:24 PM.Reason: tried to rotate pic, sorry

Reply:I've always thought it about the other way around.that is to say, that horseshoes are lucky by nature, and should be face down such that the luck pours out onto whoever walks under them.lucky horseshoes can't run out of luck, right?  and they can't pour out their luck if they point up .....I've seen them both ways.love the tree!I might steal that one

Reply:
Are you by any chance a relative of Bob?[/QUOT\He should be so " LUCKY '' !!!!  The shoes are looking down SO the ornaments will hang INSIDE them. You know those glass ones that we use to break when we were kids . As for price, it was $45.00 for the shoes. I spent maybe 30 to 45 minutes with drilling holes for ornament hooks and tacking up. Easy fun build. '' EQUINE'' people spend $$ when they see equine anything. I told the neighbor if any of her friends want them they are $75.00 with new shoes. I just took it over there today. I'll see if I get any orders. New shoes makes it sooooo much easier too .

If I ever see you.... you better get those short legs of yours moving at warp speed otherwise I'm going to get you and your little dog Toto too!!! All joking aside... I'm not as short as some but 5' 3"ish to 5' 4"ish isn't exactly tall. I haven't used my table yet to do much of anything other than to cut some sheet metal because my welder is over where I've been getting help learning how to weld. Is 30" going to be okay for me? Serious question. I'm starting to think maybe I should have gone with 28".Last edited by Equilibrium; 11-23-2014 at 08:22 PM.Reason: photo not appearingMM 211Smith Tru Lite O/A set, Thanks Bob!Lincoln AC-225--But you must not change one thing, one pebble, one grain of sand, until you know what good and evil will follow on that act.
