Went in to buy some steel tubing last week to finish up a project for a customer. I wanted 1x1 16 ga, but was told they had a deal on 1x1 14 ga. I would pay less per foot for the heavy stuff than the lighter stuff. No brainer, right? So I go for the deal, pre cut all the steel. Start welding today and there is a huge twist in the tubing. So now I'm left using angle in place of tubing. Is this buyer beware? Steel supply isn't like lumber. It's not like I'm sifting through a pile of this stuff. Anyway, next week I'd like to see if I can get a refund or something. Never dealt with this before.
