And if i do get a die grinder should i get a air powered one or a electric .And where do you buy your carbide bits?Millermatic 211 with mvp plugs miller titanium series welding helmetstihl chain saws 8 ft welding table
Reply:Here's what I use...http://www.harborfreight.com/reamer-...ool-65338.htmlDoes a pretty decent job too.PapaLincoln Idealarc 250 (circa 1962)Lincoln Weldpak 155 w/Mig KitLincoln Squarewave TIG 175
Reply:Ohh, $5 ain't bad for stright pipe. I;ll pick one up to try out. But here is what I use:http://www.mcmaster.com/#bur-tools/=in1pjtAll different bits and such.
Reply:I've have one of the Rigid brand debur tools that Papa mentioned. I picked it up years ago at HD. For pipe it works ok. I think it's designed primarily for copper but it can do emt and rigid pipe in a pinch.I've also used small stones on a die grinder with good success. A 1/4" carbide bur works well also. I like the cross hatch bur as it's easier to control around the pipe ID. A dremel tool works also. The blade style deburring tools like LMironworks linked work well to break and edge but struggle to remove heavy burs left by pipe cutters or abrasive saws. If bandsaw cut it would work fine.My daily go to tool is a Noga RotoDrive countersink. I've deburred thousands of holes. You can get one up to 1.25"If I recall... Platt Electric sells a drill powered deburring tool that looks similar to the Noga countersink head. If you have a Platt near by... I'd check there.

Reply:Unless this is a daily job for you.....an old fashioned half round file..... $10.Die grinders work great too. If you have an air compressor go pneumatic all the way. I even bought a heavy-duty pneumatic angle grinder which you'd have to pry out of my cold dead fingers to get it away from me.
Reply:Get the "Disposable Economy Deburring Tool" from the mcmaster link above. It's the cheapest (under $4) and it's the right tool to be using anyway.Welding/Fab Pics: www.UtahWeld.com
Reply:Half rounds will do the job (and be more useful in the long run!)Also, die grinders work nice!

Reply:I used to use a die grinder alot, til a fabricator friend of mine showed me his skill with a flap disc on an angle grinder.  Now, I go back and forth, but have been using the flap disc more often.  I need to get a little deburring tool to clean up holes I've been drilling in 16 gauge tubing.-AaronJet 17.5" Drill Press1942 South Bend 16x84 Lathe1980s Miller 320A / BP --- 2013 Power Mig 2562012 Jet 7x12 Horizontal BandsawVictor O/A Setup
Reply:if your talking edge burrs a file/reamer or depending on the size of the thru hole a drill bit.I thought he was talking internal burrs of the weld on pipe. Cut on a bandsaw or a good carbide blade cold saw there isn't much burr a couple of swipes with a 1/2 round file like oldschool said knocks that small burr off.Me I have a reamer so it is what I would grab first, if its big and nasty or I was being picky I guess I would drop it on my lathe and do an inside bevel.Really wouldn't be looking to buy a tool to do it though.
