They have the Miller 211's for $1,043...no tax and free shipping. I'm thinking about getting one
Reply:I ordered a miller welder and a miller helmet a few years ago from them. Good company.
Reply:They are a "Brick & Mortar" welding supply company.  Out there by La Plata, Maryland or in the vicinity. Wish I had known when I used to get up that way, and I'd have stopped by their shop."USMCPOP" First-born son: KIA  Iraq 1/26/05Syncrowave 250 w/ Coolmate 3Dialarc 250, Idealarc 250SP-175 +Firepower TIG 160S (gave the TA 161 STL to the son)Lincwelder AC180C (1952)Victor & Smith O/A torchesMiller spot welder
Reply:Don't know your location, but here's my local guy in Wisconsin. $1005.00 for 211http://www.weldersupply.com/products...es|Mig+Welding
Reply:Weldersupply has some great prices, especially on plasma cutters.  Several good outfits compete well on price, just depends on the deal they get at the time & etc.  I like dealing with some of the old-time local companies who have gotten on the web to expand their businesses and try to survive the big predators."USMCPOP" First-born son: KIA  Iraq 1/26/05Syncrowave 250 w/ Coolmate 3Dialarc 250, Idealarc 250SP-175 +Firepower TIG 160S (gave the TA 161 STL to the son)Lincwelder AC180C (1952)Victor & Smith O/A torchesMiller spot welder

Reply:Thanks again for the info...this site ROCKS!Sounds like BR in a very legitimate company...I'm in SoCal...I'll check with that welding supply in WI as well. What would a MM 211 go for used if I could find one?
Reply:I bought my plasma cutter from them back in 2009 and I also picked up a spool gun for one of my shop miller machines..... best price I could find and even beat my local guy on the spoolgun by over $150!   It was fast shipping and they were great to deal with!__________________________________________________  __________Rick The WelderMobile Welding & Fabrication in Newark, Delawarehttp://www.RickTheWelder.com

Reply:Originally Posted by DSWJust understand that dual voltage machines are still limited when run on 110v lines. Under real world conditions don't expect to make decent welds on material thicker than 1/8" at best, no matter what the manufacturer might say in the literature. You just don't have enough input power. It's even worse if you are running on a 15 amp line with a ton of other things plugged in to the same breaker, and you are running on a long extension cord. Treat these machines as "sheet metal" machines if run on 110v power.
