Looking to buy a 'used' tig machine for thin aluminum and 4130. What's the difference between a Lincoln Tig 175 and a Lincoln Tig 175 'Pro'?Thanks in advance.Rick in Ohio
Reply:The SW175 Pro had some electronic upgrades to allow the use of an accessory pulser unit.There are 2 small slots on the left (when looking from the front) of the case that the pulser mounts to.When I attended the Lincoln Motorsports class I bought a pulser unit for my SW175. One of the engineers told me I would have issues and needed to upgrade to the Pro version. Never had any problems, and the guy who bought it from me has had none as wellI don't think there would be much (if any) difference in used unit price between the standard SW175 and the Pro on the used market. Either will give excellent service.Rex
