Snowblower Skids

Old skids were so worn and rusted they snapped. Probably took 3 hours to make something I could have bought for $40. Thankfully I am on vacation and my time is not worth anything.1/4" body with a 3/16" ski. Would have gone all 3/16 but the only 2.5" piece of flat stock I had was 1/4.I originally tried using an acetylene torch to heat the metal for bending but I ran out of gas. Reply:Weld some hardfacing on the bottom and they'll last forever.

Reply:Ha, yea I brought the snowblower to Long Island power today if you know that place.It's like a 1985 toro 2 stage my girlfriends dad gave me. It isn't running right. Starts right up but bogs down in snow.
