Welding Ventilation

Hey Everyone,What do you guys do for ventilation? I'll be tig welding mild steel mostly, maybe occasionally stainless and aluminum. I'll be welding in my basement with little to no air circulation. So any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
Reply:I also weld in my basement sometimes.  I run a couple of Honeywell hepa air filters while I am working and wear a facemask filter if I stick weld or use flux core.
Reply:I just use natural ventilation. My welding table is sitting under a tree. Can't do a whole lot better than that for ventilation.

Reply:Stainless fumes are the ones you need to worry about. Reply:Space is probably about 20 ft long and 10 ft wide. I just don't want to inhale anything toxic and I'm open to all suggestions whether it's just a mask, having a fan circulate the air, or having a ventilation system.

Reply:Assuming you have 8 foot ceilings a 400 CFM exhaust fan will change the air 4 times every hour, you also  need to allow for make up air.
