So I have started to build an ice fishing shack. I wanted to build it out of all aluminum but after getting prices on aluminum I decided to go with 16 ga. 1"x1" steel square tubing, I am sheathing the outside with .025 aluminum. I figured this would save me a little money using steel and I will use this as a trial run and see what I do and don't like about it and maybe sell it and build another one out of all aluminum. Now I am stuck, I have almost everything together now but am having a hard time finding trim pieces for the corners. I am looking for something like they use on an enclosed snowmobile trailer. My local metal supplier only has access to 1/16" angle, I'm sure it would work but not really what I'm looking for.Towards the end of this video is what I am looking for. Does anybody know where I could order this either online or through a catalog or maybe if you know a supplier from my area? I live in the central Maine area.
Reply:that looks like a trailer trim. On a trailer you then put a plastic strip in the trim and it covers the screws.I dont know where or who but that is what to look for.Miller thunderbolt 250Decastar 135ERecovering tool-o-holic ESAB OAI have been interested or involved in Electrical, Fire Alarm, Auto, Marine, Welding, Electronics ETC to name a just a few. So YES you can own too many tools.
Reply:Just aluminum angle?  Thats what I would use, thin stuff. That is an interesting kit, do you know the price of the kit off hand that they are offering?Around by me guys use old campers for fishing shacks, already set up with heat, fridge, and a stove. 12v battery, jumper cables, and a 6013.I only have a facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/pages/VPT/244788508917829
Reply:RV dealer, the one I worked for carried the trim and the cover in lengths. I can't remember the manufacturer.RegardsDave
Reply:I remember a few years ago I was looking at building a tear drop trailer (never did ) and one of the websites had all the edge trim an seamless roofing  as well as several different profiles of siding .
Reply:Give these guys a call. I just went down and bought a few windows to put into and enclosed trailer. Pretty sure I saw what you were looking for. http://waltsrvsurplus.comLincoln Pro Mig 180Lincoln Pro Core 125Hypertherm 30xpPorter Cable Drill PressAcra 7x12 bandsaw48" sheet metal brakeCrap load of other tools, working on metal now.

Reply:I don't believe this is actually a kit I think this is a video of the manufacturer assembling a shack. There are a few different companies in my area that are making these now and they are usually going for I think around $2 for a 5x8 and upwards of $3500 for an 8x12. I appreciate all the help with the options on trim I am definitely going to have to check around at some of the rv dealers in my area.I also am used to sitting on a bait bucket out in the cold, but it's getting difficult to convince the wife and my 2 year old to join me on the weekends sitting out in the cold. And I work outdoors everyday and am becoming a fair weather outdoorsman now haha.
Reply:Why not go to the places where they are making them? It won't hurt to ask if you can buy some from them. It amazes me with these types of enclosed trailer builds how they do everything completely different than you would on a house in regards to making it weather tight. I love how in that video they don't waterproof anything until the end when they smear on some sealant on the roof edges and expect that to do the trick. I know there are a couple of trailer manufacturers in Maine, maybe get in contact with them for your needs. Unless I had direct access to the trim they are using I would just use thin aluminum angle iron like mentioned above, you should be able to pick that up at any decent hardware store.
