I'm torn. Do I need a cooler for the 200? Seems the 200 is more $. Why cause newer smaller and inverter? Any replies welcome. Joe
Reply:All of the above are why its more expensive.  if u plan on doing much TIG welding above 150 amps then you really should get a cooler..Tiger Sales:  AHP Distributor    www.tigersalesco.comAHP200x; AHP 160ST; MM350P,  Spoolmatic 30A; Everlast PowerTig 185; Thermal Dynamics 60i plasma.  For Sale:  Cobra Mig 250 w/ Push-pull gun.  Lincoln Wirematic 250
Reply:You certainly don't need a watercooler for the Dynasty 200DX.  In fact, I'm not even sure if one is desirable.  (Watercooler would make the setup much less portable, otherwise with 120V capable circuitry, a Dynasty 200DX is nice and portable.)A CK Worldwide CK17 will likely be adequate, and a Trimline 210 with superflex would be overkill for the dynasty 200's current and duty cycle ratings.  You can add in a stubby gas lens front end setup if you want to use the smaller (WP-20) torch cups.  Get the superflex cable if you want a maneuverable torch.  With aircooled, you'll never have a "bad day" from forgetting to turn on your watercooler and ruining your torch leads.Just don't go too high on EP% AC balance setting when welding heavy aluminum, to take the heat off the tungsten.  (You'll want to run it like that even if you had watercooled, to be able to muster the most metal melting power hat 200 amps can deliver for welding aluminum anyway.)
Reply:What thickness will the 200 weld a.c. and dc without cooler at 150?
