Is there any sort of shoot-out comparison of chop-saws that have blades with teeth (rather than abrasive discs) you could point me to? Northern Tool has one, Evolution, etc. I am interested in build-quality and how stable the vise clamp is for setting up accurate miter cuts.
Reply:There is numerous discussions on here about that subject. I have a Milwaukee and really like it. http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=172871 You can do a little digging and send a few pms to the ones with other brands.Making as much progress as a one legged duck in the middle of a pond, just going in circles.
Reply:From what I've gathered reading the various threads about the toothed-blade metal saws, the better saws themselves don't seem to be significantly different, but lots of opinions on the blades themselves, how they cut and how the saws are used(abused).
